CANDLE SAFETY & CARE

At Paisley Candle, safety is our top priority. We want you to enjoy the beauty and ambiance of our candles with peace of mind. Follow these simple guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable candle-burning experience.

Trim the Wick:
Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch. This helps prevent excessive smoke and ensures a clean, even burn.

Keep Away from Flammable Materials:
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, bedding, and other flammable materials. Always keep candles at least 12 inches away from anything that can catch fire.

Burn in Sight:
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish candles before leaving the
room or going to bed.

Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets:
Keep candles out of reach of
children and pets. Store them in a secure location when not in use.

Avoid Drafts:
Drafts can cause candles to burn unevenly or produce excess smoke. Keep candles away
from open windows, fans, and air vents.

Use Candle Holders:
Always burn candles in appropriate candle holders or containers designed for candle use. This helps contain wax drips and reduces the risk of fire.

Burn in a Well-Ventilated Area:
Ensure adequate ventilation when burning candles, especially in smaller rooms. This helps prevent the buildup of smoke and ensures a cleaner burn.

Extinguish Safely:
Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish candles. Avoid using water or blowing forcefully, as this can cause hot wax to splatter.

Check for Debris:
Before lighting your candle, check for any debris such as wick trimmings or matches in the wax. Remove any debris to prevent flaring or uneven burning.

Discontinue Use at 1/2 Inch:
Stop burning your candle when only 1/2 inch of wax remains. Continuing to burn a candle when the wax is low can cause the container to overheat and crack.

By following these simple safety guidelines, you can enjoy the beauty and warmth of our candles safely and responsibly. If you have any questions or concerns about candle safety, please don't hesitate to contact us. Your safety is our priority.

Happy candle burning!
